Prime Meridian by Thea, is a more recent FS fic, written for the femslash04 challenge. It's a disturbingly hot Aeryn/Sikozu encounter: disturbing because it allows Aeryn to be menacing and ruthless, and because Thea really gets inside Sikozu's head, her sense of alienation, her alienating purpose. Together, both women come off as frighteningly dangerous.

I attended a panel once at ConneXions on alien sex, where the very apt question of "How exactly do aliens have sex?" was discussed in rather interesting detail. I wish Mosca's No Easy Way Down (Farscape) had been written then, or if it had been, that I'd known about it. John Crichton learns that Sebaceans and humans are Just Not The Same, and I almost bust a gut laughing.

It almost physically hurts to reread [livejournal.com profile] fourteenlines' A Whiter Shade with Farscape's first season currently airing again. Coming out of S4, it fits the desperate, sad tone of the show far better than the more lighthearted early episodes. John Crichton came a long way through four seasons, no less than the length of a universe. This story more than any other I can think of illustrates how, in that entire length, he will never truly find a place of rest.

Like Scorpions for Chocolate by Feldman is a letter-perfect rendering of the craziness inside John Crichton's head during "Liars, Guns, and Money." I could see this played out onscreen, easily. It has that same oddball poetry, the same love of words and memory.

I just rec'd the hell out of cofax's Farscape fic Written on a Thumbnail in my blog. This is a fantastic Season 3 AU that does great things with the two Johns, Moya John especially.
