It almost physically hurts to reread
fourteenlines' A Whiter Shade with Farscape's first season currently airing again. Coming out of S4, it fits the desperate, sad tone of the show far better than the more lighthearted early episodes. John Crichton came a long way through four seasons, no less than the length of a universe. This story more than any other I can think of illustrates how, in that entire length, he will never truly find a place of rest.
