There's a delightfully twisted blend of vampirism and romance in Painted Eggs and Chapel of Bones by Fayjay, but of course that's to be expected with Spikendru. This is Prague told through Spike, back when he used to be bad, and Fayjay never once lets the reader forget what "bad" really looks like. There's some incredible, active prose and keen insight into the characters, and I hope we'll be seeing the next installment in this series soon.
Many Loves just won an Undead Award for Best Spike, and with good reason. It's epic, incorporating tons of canon and history, bringing us from the picture of a foppish human William in "Fool for Love," through years and years and years of relationships and blood, to the vampire we know and love (and in many cases, lust after) post-"The Gift."
News of My Death (and part 2 here) by Julie Fortune should have been the real follow-up to Becoming 2.
