I'm not a regular West Wing watcher, but I happened to catch an episode last week. There was a lot of CJ Cregg, with whom I am vaguely acquainted, and then there was this smart spunky blonde chick who kept following her around, named Ainsley. I remembered Christine CGB posted a CJ/Ainsley recently called Eyes Grow Feet and went to check it out. Not knowing too much about the fandom or the characters beyond the broad strokes of a few scattered eps, I'm forced to give you this recommendation on the strength of the writing alone. Thankfully, it's one of the easiest sells I've made in a while. Said strength is in the tiny, tangible details -- the small moments of personal history and anxieties that piece together to make someone I recognize. Someone real.
