Ebonbird's Two Breathe, set after "To Shanshu in LA." It's short, has a lot of Cordelia, Wesley and Angel just the way I love them, and is gorgeous and peaceful like sunlight illuminating a room. Every time I re-read this story (and I've read it many times) I feel happy.

ATS/BTVS: various by HonorH (various)
Sep. 29th, 2001 01:48 pmHonorH writes some great crossovers between the two series, most notably Dawn and the Dead and Elegy for a Fallen Heroine. Both stories feature strong, accurate characterizations. I also highly enjoyed Dreamwalk -- I'm a sucker for stories about dreams.
Witness by Hth is a fascinating look at Faith's possible future, and how what it means to be a Slayer has changed for her. The prose is intense and action-packed, well-suited to the character.
BTVS: various (Willow/Spike)
Sep. 29th, 2001 04:59 pmI'm finding myself captivated by the idea of Willow/Spike, but only in the hands of certain authors. It's hard to write them both in-character and still make the pairing believable, whether it's romantic or simply sexual. So far, I've been most impressed by Jonquil's Blinded With Science series, ConditionalResponse by NyxMne Chaosis which takes place in her Query series, and The Spike Experience by zen.
ATS/BTVS: various
Sep. 29th, 2001 05:02 pmThree stories that are just evil, evil, evil. But in a good way, of course -- the way that makes me cackle madly and wish like hell that I'd thought of that: Insomnitic's Winners, Dale Edmond's On Impermanence: Phantom Dennis, and Fyre's Go Into the Light.
